Current Christian Education Opportunities

Sunday Mornings in Fellowship Hall at 9:15:

“Unshakeable Hope”: New Book Study: Max Lucado’s hot off the press Unshakeable Hope is the resource and Pastor Bobby will lead. A limited number of books are available at the church office ($10). The study begins September 9th.

“God’s Urgent Call and The Faithful Answered”: A Study of Isaiah, Hebrews & Revelation,” led by Alton Klier, Jim Paige and Norm Nevins. The class meets in the Fellowship Hall at 9:15am.

“Luther’s Catechism”: Is led by Pastor David. This class will end on September 2nd. The class meets in the Fellowship Hall at 9:15am.

“The Book of Proverbs”: Proverbs is one of the Old Testament Books that is filled with Wisdom Literature, much of it attributed to King Solomon. Some proverbs provide “common sense” that is still valuable for us today, while other proverbs challenge us in our sin. The class is led by Pastor David. Please come join us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:15am, starting September 9th.

“Tactics”: Written by Greg Koukl. Koukl has taught Christians in churches and seminars for years with tried and tested approaches and responses which are not intended to win arguments, or more importantly not to encourage them, but to win hearts or plant the seed that may open the closed heart. The class meets at 9:15am on Sundays. Books are available in the church office or the beginning of class.

Mid Week Studies:

Ladies Lunch Study: Meets every other Wednesday in the Alpha Room of the Fellowship Hall from 12pm – 1-ish. A new study began August 22nd. It will only last five weeks so if you just want to try out a small group study, this would be a good one. It is based on the book, “Overcoming Worry,” by Margaret Feinberg. All ladies are welcome, and feel free to bring your lunch! Contact Kim Gibbs 830-456-7299, or Barbara George for more info.

Extra Books of the Bible: This class is led by Pastor David and meets on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am in the Fellowship Hall.

Men’s Breakfast Devotion: Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:30am at Jalisco’s restaurant for food, fellowship and a devotion.
